Martin Adams has served as an independent chairman and director on the boards of over 20 closed end funds and companies, predominantly focused on emerging markets and listed on a European stock exchange. He is Chairman of Eastern European Property Fund Limited and Dolphin Capital Investors Limited and a non-executive director of Marwyn Value Investors Limited, Metage Funds Limited and National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited.
Mr. Adams has hands-on experience of managing investments in a diverse range of countries including Vietnam, India, Brazil, China, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Singapore and the UK. He has chaired the boards of London-listed specialist funds holding alternative investments in real estate, infrastructure, private equity, and in environmental and emissions assets in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Prior to serving as a director of listed emerging markets funds, Mr Adams founded Vietnam Fund Management Company, raised and managed the first institutional investment fund for Vietnam and has been involved as a director, manager or sponsor of 11 investment funds and managers in Vietnam. Mr. Adams started his career with the Lloyds Bank group.
Judd Kinne has 45 years of investment and capital markets experience in Asian emerging markets, having been a resident of Singapore since 1973 (and a citizen since 2009). Most of this time he worked at director- level for 3 groups: Vickers,da Costa Ltd (1976-1988); Peregrine Group (1989-1998); and Kim Eng Holdings Ltd (latterly “Maybank Kim Eng”) (1998-2014).
Kevin Phillip is a Managing Director at Waystone and serves as an independent director on the boards of a variety of hedge fund and related structures. He leads a team of professionals at Waystone, supervising the fund governance of hedge funds and providing guidance on accounting, regulatory, legal, outsourcing and financial issues.
Mr. Phillip has extensive experience serving as an independent director on boards of investment funds and related structures for over 12 years, providing guidance on fund governance, accounting, regulatory compliance, legal and financial issues. In addition, Kevin has significant audit experience, focusing on large, international financial institutions, U.S. domestic and offshore hedge funds and mutual funds.
Mr. Phillip works with Global Business Development, Internal Governance groups and Operation teams, to direct strategy and manage the responsibility for products based in the Cayman Islands, including ensuring all operational client facing teams are providing a best-in-class service. He qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in New York and holds a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in both Accounting and Finance from North Carolina Central University.
Mr. Phillip is a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and is an Accredited Director by the Chartered Secretaries of Canada. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is an approved principal of entities registered with the National Futures Association.
